Do you have appropriate insurance, license, and certifications?
Yes, Set in Stone is fully insured with general liability and workers comp insurance and has a Specialty License in Masonry & Carpentry through SCLLR Builders Association. We are ICPI certified, SEK certified, and preferred installers for Lowcountry Paver and Techo-Bloc pavers.
Do you offer any design services?
Yes. We offer a 3D design consultation starting at $500 (depending on the size of the project). This design fee is credited to your project should you choose us for the installation.
Do you ONLY install pavers?
We install a number of different hardscape construction materials such as poured concrete, travertine and other natural stone, landscape rocks/gravel, and veneer in addition to Techo-bloc and Lowcountry Paver interlocking pavers.
How do I request a quote?
Fill out our online quote request form on our website, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Estimate appointments are available M-F 8am-5pm. Please note during our busy season, appointments may be 1-2 weeks out.
What does your average project cost?
While there are countless variables to quote a hardscape project, such as site conditions, accessibility, material selection, and scope of work, we average $5000-10,000 for our typical backyard patio and fire pit. We have projects that have been upwards of $40,000 and some as low as $2500, with $2500 being our minimum-sized project.
Do you perform any landscaping?
While we specialize in hardscape construction, we do offer the option for minor landscape installation to complement the design of your project. We do not perform landscape-only projects, so any landscaping must accompany a hardscape project.
How far out are you scheduling installations?
While our lead time constantly fluctuates depending on weather conditions and manufacturing and plant delays, we generally average 8-10 weeks. This timeframe is an average and may be shorter or longer depending on the circumstances.
What do you require to get on your installation schedule?
To be added to our installation schedule, a signed contract and 50% deposit is required.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept checks and cash. Credit cards add a 3% convenience fee. We do not currently offer financing options but are looking into it in the future. Some of our customers have used a home improvement loan they obtained on their own.
Who is responsible for getting approval from my HOA?
We are happy to provide any relevant information your HOA requires for consideration, but it is the homeowner's responsibility to apply for and obtain approval prior to installation.
Do you offer any type of warranty?
Yes. We offer a 5-year craftsmanship warranty on all hardscape projects (except poured concrete). Lowcountry Paver and Techo-Bloc also include a lifetime warranty on the pavers themselves. See contract for details.*
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. We offer a discount to all active duty military, veterans, and first responders. **Please note service members must live in the home where work is to be performed.
